Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, what evidence he has received concerning the number of women over the age of 35 who experience bladder problems; and if he will make a statement. - Includes figures. (Holding answer 6 July 2000).

Answer: Mr. Austin: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment what evidence he has received concerning the number of women over the age of 35 who experience bladder problems; and if he will make a statement. [129124] Ms Jowell: [holding answer 6 July 2000]: I have not, in my capacity as Minister for Women, received any evidence concerning the number of women over the age of 35 who experience bladder problems. However, the Department of Health statistics show that 68,410 women aged 35 and over with bladder problems were admitted to NHS hospitals in England during the period 1998-99.
