My Department publishes a release entitled ‘Leasehold Dwellings’ which includes statistics on the number of leasehold dwellings in England by tenure, dwelling type, and region.
Statistics from 2024-25 can be found on gov.uk here. Annex table 2.4 shows that in 2024-25 there were 750,000 owner occupier leasehold households where the household reference person was aged 65 or over, the closest age group for which data is available.

Section 26(2) does not create an offence relating to the purchase or acquisition of firearms using a false certificate. The offence most closely associated with such conduct is section 3(5) of the Firearms Act (FA) 1968, where it is an offence to produce a false certificate with the view of purchasing or acquiring any firearm or ammunition. Depending on the facts of the case, however, the CPS may charge these cases as a possession offence under section 1 or section 5 FA 1968. There may also be other offences considered depending on what the individual who purchases the firearms does with it.
The CPS holds management information which shows the number of offences charged by way of Section 3(5), Section 1 and Section 5 FA 1968 in which a prosecution commenced. The table below shows the number of offences charged by Act and Section in which a prosecution commenced between 2006 and 2025. The CPS is unable to differentiate whether the offences charged under section 1 or section 5 FA 1968 involved the individual using a false certificate; therefore, the information in the table below is for all offences charged under those sections of the FA 1968.

The figures relate to the number of offences and not the number of individual defendants prosecuted. It can be the case that an individual defendant is charged with more than one offence against the same complainant. No data is held showing the final outcome or if the charged offence was the substantive charge at finalisation.

The law is clear on the sales of shotguns that a purchaser must hold the appropriate firearms certificate and transactions must comply with the relevant legal requirements and police procedures in place. The Government is considering what further action may be needed to strengthen the controls on the private sale of firearms and shotguns by licence holders.

On 12 June, the Government published the third Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy (CWIS3), which will enable more children to walk, wheel and cycle to school.
Active Travel England published its delivery plan on the same day, ‘Worth Every Step’, which sets out how it will support CWIS3. As part of this, Active Travel England will publish the ‘Streets for Schools’ tool and supplementary planning advice to support developers, local authorities and other transport and planning professionals involved in the planning, design and delivery of new and existing schools and the street environment around them.
Both the tool and advice note are designed for a wide range of users and organisations, setting out why active school travel matters and how they can design to maximise opportunities for walking, wheeling and cycling to school.

The Government recognises that the LISA is not working for everyone. That is why we intend to shortly publish a consultation setting out further information about the design and implementation of a new simpler first time buyer ISA product. Once available this will be offered in place of the Lifetime ISA.

Department for Transport officials routinely engage with Home Office officials on freight crime. This Government is highly aware of the rising frequency of freight crime including of fuel theft and the significant and damaging impact it can have on businesses and drivers. The Home Office are actively collaborating with Opal, the police’s national intelligence unit for serious organised acquisitive crime, which has a specialised vehicle crime intelligence function encompassing freight crime.

As of 19 May, there have been 18,934 registrations of intent to make a compensation claim, 2,680 registrations of which are from people acting on behalf of a deceased infected person (also known as estates claims).
A total of 4,402 people have been asked to start their claim, with 3,368 people having received an offer of compensation. Regarding PQs 2743, 2744, 2745 and 2746, IBCA does not publish breakdowns of the specific awards individuals have been offered or of the individual circumstances of claims.
