Mr. Rogers: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many doctors and nurses have been employed in NHS hospitals in Wales since 1990; and how many vacancies for doctors and nurses in Wales remain unfilled at present. [93110] Mr. Jon Owen Jones: Information on the whole-time equivalent numbers of hospital doctors and nurses is given in the following table. Information on hospital nurses is only available in a comparable form for the last three years. Current vacancies for doctors and nurses in Wales are a matter for the National Assembly for Wales.
