To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what discussions her Department has had with the devolved administrations on the operation of the apprenticeship levy in each of those regions.
Officials from my Department are in regular discussions with their counterparts in the devolved administrations to consider the implications of the apprenticeship levy on their own apprenticeship programmes and for cross-border employers. As skills policy is devolved it is for the devolved administrations to decide how they will fund apprenticeships in their nations.
The UK government has agreed funding with the devolved administrations, and this was announced in November 2016: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-government-agrees-apprenticeship-levy-funding-deal-with-devolved-administrations.

Last year NHS England conducted an audit of their veterans’ mental health services to capture and build on best practice. They sought the views and experiences of the people that access these services first hand, through a national engagement exercise.
NHS England launched the new transition, intervention and liaison veterans’ mental health service on 1 April. This new service has been designed specifically to support and treat both veterans and also service personnel who are approaching discharge.

I have been pressing for a number of years for a new build prison in Magilligan in my constituency. Hopefully, that will take place in the next year or two. Will the Secretary of State undertake to ensure that any future Government will closely liaise so that prisoner supervision, whether in prisons in Northern Ireland or in England, is replicated for best practice to ensure the best possible outcomes?

I absolutely agree with the hon. Gentleman. We need to learn from each other to make sure that our prisons do the best possible job. Of course they are there to punish offenders, but they also must turn lives around and reduce reoffending rates.

We strongly condemn the recent attacks in Egypt against the Coptic Christian community, claimed by Daesh. The Government of Egypt has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of minorities and to the need to promote religious tolerance. We welcome President Sisi's calls for peaceful co-existence and the Government of Egypt's expression of support for the rights of Christians and for religious tolerance.
Combating sectarian violence in Egypt is a shared strategic objective for the Egyptian and British governments. The Egyptian authorities have made several arrests following the attacks in Alexandria and Tanta, and continue to investigate the incident.

It is for the North Korean authorities to issue visas to British Nationals visiting the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The UK does not hold details of the number of visas they issue to British Nationals.

I am concerned by the recent disappearance and apparent abduction of Pastor Koh. A police investigation is ongoing. We have regular dialogue with Malaysian ministers on human rights and I discussed Pastor Koh's case with civil society representatives during my recent visit to Malaysia. Our High Commissioner has also raised Pastor Koh's case with the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister. We shall continue to follow developments in this case and wider civil society in Malaysia very closely.

As I stated in my response of 28 February, officials in the devolved administrations have regular engagement on topics of mutual interest and concern. Tackling educational under-achievement is a key priority for all parts of the UK; each administration has a strategy tailored to its own needs and circumstances, though effective practice is regularly shared.

The Secretary of State, and her Ministers have met with a wide range of charities and faith groups since taking up their respective roles, including recent meetings with WaterAid, and Ministers will continue to meet these groups as opportunities arise.
