That this House welcomes the Government's decision to extend from six to 13 weeks the period in hospital before certain social security benefits are reduced; and calls on the Government to review the much harsher rules for disability living allowance, attendance allowance and invalid care allowance, an action which would be supported by Disability Alliance, Age Concern, Mencap, Contact a Family and Carers UK.
