My understanding is that the Republic of Ireland has been hit with tariffs on other products. These retaliatory tariffs following the Airbus dispute have been levied on a number of European countries. The point I have been making to the Americans is that the UK has complied with the WTO ruling. We are not in breach of that ruling any more, and we have met all the compliance stats.

The UK is committed to negotiating an ambitious free trade agreement with the United States as soon as we have left the European Union. The President and Prime Minister have made clear on a number of occasions, including during the recent State Visit, their shared commitment to an ambitious, wide-ranging free trade deal that reflects the strength of our bilateral relationship.
The Department for International Trade will commence the sixth Trade and Investment Working Group with officials from United States Trade Representative in early-July. This will continue to lay the groundwork for a future potential FTA.
That this House notes the decision by San Francisco Mayor London Breed to sign a citation giving a posthumous honour to the late Martin McGuinness in recognition of courageous service in the military; observes that while Martin McGuinness entered the peace process dialogue in later life, in his earlier life the only service he gave was paramilitary terrorism involving the unrepentant murder of innocent men, women and children in his role as an IRA commander; further notes that while it may be possible to highlight the belief that he turned away from violence in later life, to now laud his involvement in IRA atrocities is an absolute disgrace and is disrespectful to every family who lost a loved one as a result of such acts of terrorism; and calls on the City of San Francisco to rescind this posthumous honour and offer instead sincere apologies to the families of victims who are re-traumatised by this disrespectful act by an administration that has shown a disregard for those who still grieve and have an empty seat in their home.

I am delighted to say that Northern Ireland tourism is doing extremely well with visitors from North America and elsewhere. The Titanic exhibition, for example, is extremely popular and has been winning awards. The “Game of Thrones” television programme also draws people to Northern Ireland. There are myriad reasons to visit—not least, of course, the warm welcome from the people of Northern Ireland. I commend the hon. Gentleman for his question.

The UK regularly speaks to the US about Iran at official and ministerial level, most recently during the Foreign Secretary's visit to Washington last month. We regularly discuss Iran with Saudi Arabia at ministerial and official level, most recently this month. The UK remains concerned by Iran's destabilising activity throughout the region and we continue to maintain a permanent military presence in the Gulf to underpin our enduring contribution to regional security. The deployment of UK maritime assets in the Gulf protects shipping lanes which are important for the world's energy supply.

The Government works actively to support trade and reduce barriers in all three countries, including through our overseas network and HM Trade Commissioners, through ministerial visits and bilateral working groups, and through the broad support this Department provides both to UK companies exporting to these countries and to those overseas companies wishing to invest in the UK. This work is intensifying as we leave the EU.
In addition, the Government is preparing for an ambitious programme of trade negotiations and enhanced market access, including potentially opening formal negotiations for new free trade agreements with the United States and Australia. We have completed 14-week long public consultations on these potential future trade agreement negotiations. We are also building stronger relationships with large economies through a series of Joint Trade Reviews. As part of the UK-China joint trade and investment review, officials of both countries took part in the third series of technical discussions in Beijing in November.
