Mr. Burstow: To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will estimate the costs of (a) setting up and (b) running patient
forums, overview and scrutiny Committees, ILAF and PALS. [148566]
Ms Stuart: [holding answer 5 February 2001]: At this stage of the Bill, it would be inappropriate to go into detail about the cost
of the new systems and structures for patient and public involvement until the legislation covering some of the new arrangements has
been passed by parliamentary process.
