Ministers in the Department hold regular meetings with train operating companies and Network Rail to discuss operational performance. I have recently met with operators and Network Rail to discuss infrastructure preparations on the south section of the Great Eastern Mainline in preparation for the Olympic Games, and in particular the need for more resilience from the overhead lines.
