From April 2013 the NHS Commissioning Board (NHS CB) will commission the Family Nurse Partnership programme to achieve the Government's goal of 13,000 places by 2015. It will be for the NHS CB to determine budgets for the programme over the next two years. A recent study published by the Department suggests the average cost of delivering a FNP place locally is £3,100 per year, ranging between £3,000 and £3,600 depending on the area and with first year costs slightly higher at an average of £3,275.
