Proceeding contribution from Gregory Campbell (Democratic Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 21 May 2024. It occurred during Backbench debate on Zero-emission Buses.

Zero-emission Buses

I congratulate my hon. Friend on securing the debate. It is always good to support a colleague when they secure such an important debate. On the issue of UK-made

buses—he has repeated “UK-made” several times, quite rightly—does he agree that that is all the more important now when we look at the challenge coming from China and the far east? More and more, a huge challenge is being made to the west and the UK. We have to meet that challenge and rise to it. As he indicated, that is what the Government need to respond to.
