Fire Services

Question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office what recent discussions he has had on the use of public service mutuals in the provision of fire services.

Answer

Supporting the creation and growth of public service mutuals is Government policy, so my Department continues to work with other Departments to explore options for this in a variety of public services, including fire and rescue. As was the case under previous Administrations details of internal discussions are not normally disclosed.
