To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office (1) what discussions (a) he, (b) other Ministers in his Department and (c) officials of his Department had with the Department for Education in 2012 on funding for Booktrust;

The decision to award grant funding to Booktrust for 2013-15 was taken by the my the Secretary of State for Education, my right hon. Friend the Member for Surrey Heath (Michael Gove), on the basis of advice from Department for Education officials.
