To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what the cost of Universal Credit payments were in 2024/25 and 2025/26.

The department regularly publishes benefit expenditure and caseload tables and the latest benefit expenditure tables for Spring 2026 include annual Universal Credit expenditure from 2019/20 to 2024/25, with forecast figures provided for 2025/26. Outturn figures for 2025/26 will be published in due course.
