Proceeding contribution from Baroness May of Maidenhead (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 22 March 2011. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Student Visas.

Student Visas

They are not included in the migration figures, and they are therefore not covered by my statement. However, as the hon. Gentleman will probably know from discussions in which he has engaged in the past with, among others, the Minister for Immigration, my hon. Friend the. Member for Ashford (Damian Green), the requirements of the English language colleges were of particular concern to us, and we have dealt with that by piloting the extension of the visitor visas.
