To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions, if he will make a statement on the additional grants from the Scottish Executive in item lxxxi on page 8 of the Spring Supply Estimates. - Inc figures and ref to item lxxxi on page 8 of the Spring Supplementary Estimates, and to section 211(4) of the Tansport Act 2000.

Chris Grayling: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions if he will make a statement on the additional grants from the Scottish Executive in item lxxxi on page 8 of the Spring Supply Estimates. [40236] Dr. Whitehead: The transfer of £1,293,000 to the Scottish Executive, reported at item lxxxi on page 8 of the Spring Supplementary Estimates, is in respect of rail freight facilities grant which, under section 211(4) of the Transport Act 2000, must be paid by the Scottish Executive.
