Waste Management
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what criteria will be used for allocating funding to waste collection authorities from the weekly collections support scheme if the bids received exceed the amount of money available; and whether in that case funding will be allocated on the basis of full funding for a proportion of the bids or a percentage reduction across the board.
- Answer
-
I refer the noble Lord to the Answer I gave him on 21 November 2011 (Official Report, col. WA 217-218). In addition, bids will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and funding allocated to those local authorities who best meet the scheme's criteria. Funding may be awarded to cover the full amount or as a contribution towards some of the cost.
