Rural Payments Agency

Question
To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the cost of compensating for cases in which Rural Payments Agency systems have failed.
Answer

RPA does not record separate information on consolatory or compensatory payments relating to system failure. The information requested could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. However, the total amount paid out by RPA for compensation and consolatory ex-gratia payments between January 2006 and March 2010 is £133,202.06.
