Electrification: East Midlands

- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to be able to make an announcement about electrification of the East Midland line north of Bedford to Sheffield.

The Department for Transport is working closely with the rail industry to examine the case for further rail electrification. A decision on the electrification of the Midland Main Line will be announced later this year.
