Coal: Imports

- To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what the average cost per tonne of imported coal was in 2007.

In 2007, the value of coal (and other solid fuels) imports was provisionally £2,072.3 million, while the volume of coal (and other solid fuels) imports was 43.9 million tonnes. This gives an average cost of £47.20 per tonne of imported coal (and other solid fuels).
