Independent Schools

Question
(3) how many enhanced provision facilities there were in maintained schools in each year since 1997, broken down by local authority; and what his estimate is of the numbers in independent schools in each year, broken down by local authority;
Answer

[holding answer 22 November 2006]: The information requested is not held centrally.In January 2007, the School Census will include an indicator that will allow the identification of pupils with special educational needs who are members of a SEN Unit within a maintained school.
